Modern & Contemporary Art Auction
With art works by significant leading Greek and Cypriot artists, AlphaZmart Auctions announces its fall 2009 auction Modern & Contemporary Art: Greek and Cypriot Artists.
The auction will take please on Wednesday 4 November 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia. The auction is organized in association with Vergos Auctions of Athens, Greece’s leading auction house. Mr. Petros Vergos will be the auctioneer for the evening.
The auction includes works by significant Greek and Cypriot artists spanning the twentieth century, as well as works by younger artists working in Greece and Cyprus. Among the arstists who are represented with works in the auction are: Tsarouchis, Mavroides, Fassianos, Mytaras, Sperantzas, Droungas, Manolides, Stathopoulos, Samios, Georgiou, Yeros, Rinas and others. Among the numerous Cypriot artists included in the auction are Diamantis, Savva, Kissonergis, Hadjisoteriou, Economou, Votsis, Stass, Ladommatos, Karayian, Makariou and others.
