Momentum 2016 - Yiannis Yiannis
The Collection Gallery will be showcasing the works of sculptor Yiannis Yiannis in a solo show entitled "Momentum 2016".
The opening will be inaugurated by Dr. Ioannis Eliades, Byzantinologists - Art Historian and Director of the Byzantine Museum of the Archbishop Makarios III Foundation and Cultural Center on Wednesday, 2nd of November, at 7:30 pm
Yiannis Yiannis has been working with Cypriot stone for more than 35 years and occasionally with granite and marble.
His work varies from artistic sculptures to a big range of architectural elements.
Recently he sculpted the emblem of the Cypriot democracy at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, and the large monument “I Love Ayia Napa”.
His work can be seen in the Byzantine Museum of the Archbishop Makarios III, in public spaces, plazas and private collections. The past 3 years he has been working on a new series of sculptures that he is presenting in our gallery.
The art exhibition will remain open to the public from the 2nd of November 2016, until the 4th of December 2016.
