Mozart and the 20th Century
What can one expect when the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra teams up with the orchestra’s Concertmaster to give us an evening of chamber music? Well; nothing but excellence of course, and that’s exactly what Jens Georg Bachman at the piano and Wolfgang Schroeder on the violin are promising us in the concert “Mozart and the 20th Century”, at Technopolis 20 in Paphos, on Saturday, 9th of June 2018, at 8pm.
The concert brings together not only the two musicians themselves, but also two of the best-known composers of their respective timelines: from the second half of the 18th century and Austria, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and, from the second half of the 20th and Estonia, Arvo Pärt. With music then bridging boundaries and time periods, we are all brothers or, as Pärt himself puts it.... “Fratres”!
