Music for Violin, Horn and Piano
Sorin Alexandru Horlea was born in 1975 in Bucharest and started to play violin at the age of 8. He graduated from” George Enescu Music High School" where he studied under Octav Savitchi and "Ciprian Porumbescu Music University" where his professor was Daniel Podlovschi. In 1996 and 1997 he took part in summer-courses with Viktor Pikaizen and Eugen Sarbu .In 1997 he won a third prize at the “George Enescu - Childhood Memories” contest in Bucharest. During his university studies he played in the "Radio Chamber Orchestra", "Philharmonie Chamber Orchestra" “Bucharest Opera” and "George Enescu Philharmonic". In 2000 he moved to Lebanon to play in the “Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra”, and from 2005 he is in Cyprus playing in the “Cyprus Symphony Orchestra”. He regularly performs as a soloist and in various chamber groups and is a resident musician of the Avaton International Music Festival.
For this concert, he will collaborate with the acclaimed Romanian horn player Vlad Andrei Buzdugan and Cyprus Trio established pianist, Naoko Kariya.
