Music Workshop Concert
The Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Music Workshop proudly presents its 1st annual gala concert, on Sunday 21 April 2013 at 20:00 at Pallas Theatre, Paphos Gate, Nicosia. The concert will be held under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Culture Mr. Kyriakos Kenevezos.
The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the most advanced students of each section in a concert of diverse content, which will excite even the most discerning listener. The programme comprises works for solo instruments and chamber ensembles.
The Music Workshop focuses on children and young people with special musical abilities and talent offering them scholarships for specialized and high level training by highly qualified tutors on instruments of the symphony orchestra. Following an advanced and well-structured instrumental training system, the Music Workshop is today the leading educational programme for music performance in Cyprus.
The project is directed by Yiorgos Kountouris, the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra.
