Nicosia Book Fest 2017

The second Book Festival opens its gates this May in Nicosia.

The magical journey in the fantastic world of books continues…

With dozens of thematic kiosks representing publishing houses from Cyprus and abroad, bookstores, literary unions, authors, university libraries, environmental and other organizations, book presentations, theater performances and many more. The Festival is organized by the Research Institute Promitheas, Strovolos municipality, Press and Information Office and the Youth Board of Cyprus.

Gaining from our past experience, our aim is to make the Nicosia Book Fest in the course of time bigger, as much as in size as in content, rendering it a landmark among literary events in the island.

The festival includes a variety of actions such as book presentations, discussions, book signing events, reading areas, kids’ corners, other outdoor children’s activities and many more.

The festival will be held on May 5-6-7th at Acropolis Park with free entrance to the public. On May 5th the official opening of the festival will be held at 18:30 followed by a musical-literary performance dedicated to the 100 years from the death of great Cypriot poet Vasilis Michaelides. On 6th and 7th May booths of bookshops,publishers and other institutions will operate while a full 2-day program will run with book presentations in the Central and Children's Stage. On May 6th, the festival will run from 14:00 until 22:00 and Sunday May 7 will start at 10:00 and end at 22:00.
