Niki Marangou
Niki Marangou is better known from her books, novels, short stories, tales for children, and poetry. Her novel “From Famagusta to Vienna” has been translated into six languages.
All along she kept on painting. Adamantios Diamantis inaugurated her first exhibition in 1975. She had another 6 solo exhibitions, one of which with Andreas Karayan, with whom she regularly painted outdoors. Her last exhibition was in Gloria Gallery in 1996.
She has also participated in the Biennale of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana in 1993, the Biennale of Cairo in 1996 and in the “50 years of Cyprus engraved by Cypriots” exhibition, in London, Patra, Athens and Nicosia in 2010.
Writing took over and this is her first exhibition after sixteen years.
Opening on 8th May at 7.30 pm at Aeschylou 83, the multifunctional art space (83, Aeschylou street, Inside the Walls Nicosia, opposite the Phaneromeni school)
The exhibition will be open daily from 17.00-20.00, Saturdays 11:00-14:00 and after appointment at the tel. 99 301608
