Along the Waters of the Mediterranean, Nitza Termin

The artistic pursuits of the acclaimed Israeli singer Nitza Termin extend from westernmost to the easternmost shore of the unique in its colourfulness cultural area of the Mediterranean. With roots from Thessaloniki nd with a deep personal and artistic interest in maintaining the Sephardic tradition, which tends to vanish, Nitza Termin cultivates with passion and integrity, love and respect the Ladino music and culture, enriching her repertoire with fado, Gypsy and Greek songs such as “The Tango of Nefeli”, which became popular in Israel owing to her brilliant interpretation. In her concert at the Axiothea Mansion, Nitza Termin and her accompanying musicians will present a selection of songs that highlight the interaction between the musical traditions of the Mediterranean.
