Nymph Nefeli
The Russian Ballet Moscowia presents the ballet "Nymph Nefeli"
on Friday, 3rd June 2016, 9:00pm at Curium Ancient Theatre.
The ballet story was created under the impression of the poem Haris Alexiou.
Two little angels came and stole the golden rag Nefeli used to wear on her head, so as to differ from us all in the vineyard. Two little angels who were dreaming of Nefeli and wanted to feed her pomegranate and honey, so that she could not remember, so that she would forget what she wanted, they managed to seduce her. Hyacinths and lilies robbed her of her scent and wear it while flying love gods laugh at her, throwing their arrows towards her. But the benevolent Zeus takes the adolescence water away from her, turns her into a cloud and disperses here so that they could not find her.

The Theatre of Russian Ballet “Moscowia” was founded under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Russia in 1990 with the name "State Ballet Theatre of Liliya Sabitova". In 2005 it was renamed to Theatre of Russian Ballet “Moscowia”
The Company has performed the repertory ballets "SWAN LAKE", "CARMEN", "BLUE BEARD", "TRAVIATA", "MEDEA", "NIGHT OF APHRODITE", "PEER GYNT", "SORCERESS MARIA CALLAS", "POET AND DANCER", "NYMPH NEFELI" and many other classical and contemporary ballet performances.
The ballet MOSCOWIA is currently comprised of mostly young ballet dancers, all graduates from ballet schools of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The Company also has close collaboration with dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet, the Sankt Petersburg Theater and with dancers from other companies.
The Company has toured in many countries including: USA, SPAIN, ARGENTINA, JAPAN, PORTUGAL, AUSTRALIA, GERMANY, CHINA, CYPRUS, ITALY, PARAGUAY, and many more.

“NYMPH NEFELI” Residents of a small village gathered at the puppet show
One little boy didn't like how thing are developing in the show and decid to stand up for a doll depicting Nymph Nephella. The boy breaks the abuser of Nymph Nefella. The show failed.
Disappointed puppeteer left alone dreaming and in his dreams appears Nymph of Clouds Nefella. Beautiful Goddess dances his flying dance. Suddenly his dream is interrupted by a cheerful company of young people, they are joking but the puppeteer is asking to leave him alone. He continue dreaming of a girl of his dream which will look like Nymph which he saw in his dreams.
Suddenly, out of the blue, rain started a slight whiff touched him. A young woman, beautiful like a cloud was appearing and running away from him. Her subtlety beauty seemed like a magical vision. She disappeared just as suddenly as she had appeared.
Excited young man is telling the story of his dream to his friends.
The boys decided to attract the girl by arranging the dance-competition and the girl is drawn into the action. The company is having fun but the young girl is disappearing again. They try to find her and when they met again the young boy is The company is going to find her. Finally they met again and their relationship is transforming in mutual love. The boy is happy, but she confessed that she loves him but will never be able to stay with him for a long time. She is from another world - the subtle one, which is inaccessible to young men. She can only stay with him for a while, taking off her light like an easy cloud cape.
But the girl, the Nymph must always wear it again to fly following this cloud to the sky.
Young boy is very sad and he tells the story to his friends. They suggest him to lure the young girl to their dance and to steal the cape. So she won't be able to fly back to the sky .
That's what they do. But this is a tragedy. The girl Nymph deprived of the possibility to fly, is slowly dying at the hands of young boy.
The young man realized what a mistake he made, his selfishness ruined a wonderful heavenly creature. Nothing can be changed. Sad processes of Nymphs is appearing and they take the dead maiden-nymph, carrying her with them to the sky.
Morning. The young boy awoke as if he is rebounding. He stands next to his puppet screen, his dolls hanging on it. Was it a reality or it was just his dream? He carefully picks up a doll-Nymph, gently hugging her with tenderly kisses.
