Omkara
This tale finds Shakespeare's "Othello" transplanted to gritty modern India. Omkara Shukla or Omi is a baahubali, a sort of political enforcer. He is the leader of a gang which carries out political crimes for the local politician. Eventually, Omi enters politics himself and appoints one of his lieutenants, Kesu over Langda as his successor. Langda, disappointed with Omkara's poor judgment and jealous of Kesu, his younger, less-experienced, superior, hatches a revenge plot. Langda plants seeds of doubt in Omi's mind, concerning the faithfulness of Omi's new bride Dolly.
