Open Workshops FOR CHILDREN*
10:00 - 10:45 Musical Story-telling Workshops:
performance "Τhe Firebird"
(ages 4-11)
11:00 - 12:00 Workshop "Theatre and Play"
(ages 5-8)

MUSICAL STORY-TELLING
Are you between 6 and 12 years old and you like to make your own performances and have the chance to present them in public?
Now you can!
In ‘Musical storytelling’ workshops your children will have the opportunity to build their own performances based on folk tales from around the world. The sessions will be held weekly (duration 1hour) and they will include:
* how to play musical instruments
* music composition
* storytelling techniques
* build choreographies
* meet the instruments of the orchestra
* make costumes and crafts
Join us on the 21st September at the performance ‘The Firebird’, one of the most famous ballets by Igor Stravinsky, to have a taste of what will follow at the ‘Musical storytelling’ workshop.

THEATRE AND PLAY
ages 5-8
metamorphosis - animals - objects - sounds - Hi-Ha-Ho - shadows - masks - hiding
Play is the natural language of children. Using it as a guide, we will explore a wide range of core theatre skills and fuse other forms of artistic expression with drama. On the open meeting of 21st September we will have the opportunity to get an idea of these basic theatre tools.

The workshops are designed for children from 5 to 8 years old and consist of three phases
