The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Mayor of Nicosia Mr. Constantinos Yiorkadjis with an introduction by artist Andreas Charalambous, on Monday, 29 February 2016 at 7.30p.m.
This is the artist’s first solo show.
BIOGRAPHY
Othonas Charalambous was born in Nicosia in 1989. He studied Fashion Design in London graduating with a Masters degree from the world famous University of the Arts London.
A FEW WORDS
An unconventional and uncompromising work consisting of drawing, monoprint, painting and tapestry. The different mediums explore how different emotions and thoughts can be communicated as well as how these are directly translated either into a slow and contemplative technique or a quick and spontaneous movement. All the different techniques throughout the show are united by the use of only one colour, black. The different works attempt to express raw emotions and other internal phenomena without censoring what comes out.
