Outdoor Photography Workshop - Treis Elies
6x6 Centre for Photography announces a series of 3-day outdoor photography workshops in the Cypriot countryside, instructed by Cypriot landscape - conservation photographer Silvio Rusmigo.
These photographic expeditions are designed to guide photography enthusiasts to some of the most photogenic locations on the island, carefully planned for best light, and to aid them in visualizing a scene before capturing the decisive moment. These comprehensive workshops enhance photography skills and open new doors to creativity.
The itinerary includes photography tuition at hidden, out-of- the way locations, hiking, accommodation at a traditional stone house, and all meals. The workshops are intended for small groups of photography enthusiasts, at any level of knowledge.
The tutor will be delivering effective photography-instruction, hands-on assistance and subject-knowledge transfer, while wrapping up with group discussions and projections of the work produced. Critique of the work in group sessions will help improve participants' photographic skills.
Treis Elies - Paphos Forest [9 - 11 December]:
This photography workshop will focus on the Marathasa valley and the rich ecosystem of the Paphos Forest. As the leaves will be turning into all the shades of red and brown, the group will be taking to Treis Elies village. Delving into the beauty of the Marathasa Valley, with its pine and oak forests giving way to the cherry, almond and apple trees, the impressive geologies of the Troodos Mountain as the backdrop, and the Venetian Bridges arching over rivers will get everyone behind their lenses in no time. Participants will lodge at a traditional stone house in Lemythou village.
