Pain of Salvation
After a continued success in Europe and America, the Swedish Progressive Rock Band, Pain of Salvation, will play in Cyprus for the first time with a one-night-only concert!
Band leader, Daniel Gildenlow, a lyricist, composer, guitarist, singer and creator of the band, gives together with the other four members of his band, a special, different kind of creative atmosphere not to be missed by any music fan.
Through the powerful sound of their music; they bring to surface issues such as sexuality, humanity, the individual, nature and environmental problems, war and its effects.
Each of their albums consists of a completely separate thematic song cycle & concept.
On January 6, 2011, @ The Pavilion in Nicosia we are going to have the opportunity to hear them live perform compositions from their albums; The Perfect Element, Be, Scarsick and of course their latest album Road Salt One. As Daniel himself said, travel an enchanting journey with Pain of Salvation into the co-existence of concepts like good and evil, light and darkness, pain and salvation, and in the end finding the perfect balance!
Opening the headliners will be the very promising rock band, ENsTRO (http://www.myspace.com/enstro), from Greece.
For the upcoming Pain Of Salvation concert we have joined forces with Cans For Kids, a children's charity organization, which celebrates their 20 years of existence in Cyprus. All the beer, soda and juice cans consumed at the night of the event will be collected and given to the organization for recycling.
