Paparazzi

‘Paparazzi’ (Achilleas Michaelides) is one of the few artists in Cyprus that has embraced the art of graffiti to reach the highest heights in the field. He has contributed a great deal to spreading this urban style of painting on the island. He moved to Cyprus about six years ago. He lived for many years in Thessaloniki in Greece. His commitment to this modern way of expression started about ten years ago and by now he has completed many projects not only in Greece and Cyprus but also in the U.K. and Europe.

The style of this controversial artist has always kept a rapidly developing course. His latest artworks embrace a more surrealistic aspect. He enjoys picking up various realistic elements and using them in combination with his imagination to transform and present them the way he wants and according to his own aspirations.

The opening of the graffiti exhibition by Achilleas Michaelides will take place on the 8th May 2009 and will stay on until the 31st May 2009. The opening reception and cocktails will be at 19:30 with a special live graffiti performance done by the artist himself.
