The Paris Collection
A private collection does not only represent the personal taste of the collector, but also the particularities of the art market of a given period without necessarily covering all the art movements of the period itself. To give a more comprehensive chronological and artistic perspective, the lecture will focus on the artists and movements from the late 19th century to the early 20th century in Europe represented in the Collection (Pissarro, Sisley, Monet, Renoir, Bonnard, Vlaminck, Dufy, Utrillo, Chagall) while also creating links with those not featured in the Collection (Cézanne, Seurat, Derain, Matisse, Braque, Picasso, Duchamp ...).
