Performing the Experience
The Intercultural Centre of Cyprus, in collaboration with the Rooftop Theatre Group, presents a reading of the play “Performing the Experience”, a product of the multi-cultural experimental theatre workshop and of a collaborative writing process.
This project funded by Action for Cooperation and Trust (ACT) is a 15- month endeavour aimed to empower children and young adults entitled “Voicing and Staging the Experience”, through experimental theatre. During a total of 8 weekly workshops coordinators and participants have
interacted, using theatre games and exercises. Taking the material from the workshops, a team of Rooftop Members have created a play text and theatre production, which will be premiere on Sunday, October 12th at the ARTOS Cultural Foundation at 9pm. Subsequently, the play will be presented every Sunday, all through October and November 2008, in Greek / English / Turkish or Greek/Turkish or English / Turkish (with subtitles). The play will also be presented in educational institutions in the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities and will be free of charge.
