The Persians, by Aeschylus
The play ''Persians'' by Aeschylus completes the two-year project ''Hero-isms'' of the Centre of Performing Arts MITOS, which is included in the official programme of the European Capital of Culture - Pafos2017. In the renovated Attikon theatre, a modern version of the ancient drama will be presented. The real disaster of war is individualised through the royal family and reflected through the singing and the pain of the Chorus. In a war no one wins.
