Peter Eramian - The Laughter
Omikron Gallery is delighted to announce Peter Eramian’s first solo exhibition The Laughter. The exhibition will be on show from 31 May until 21 June 2012.
The exhibition is centred on a recreation and tribute to the satirical newspaper Laughter (Γέλιο) that was published in Cyprus by George A. Fasouliotis during the period 1928 -1938, a rough and troubled historical moment for the island during its time under British colonial rule. The newspaper was an inspiration for Peter Eramian, as he is both an artist and publisher, who believes that the current times also demand such brave and fearless critique.
