Digital Photography I: Still Life Photography
Suitable for beginners. Bring your own digital camera.
In this workshop, consisting of five two-hour classes, you will explore the basics of camera operation and the creative possibilities of digital photography. Participants will be invited to practice the art of still life photography in the Museum's photo studio using artificial lights. The workshop's outcome is to learn how to fully use the potential of a digital camera and to study the art of composition so relevant to photography.
Dates: 26 March - 9 April, 2013 (Tuesdays and Fridays)
Time: 18:00-20:00
Cost: €125 per student (minimum enrollment 5; maximum 12)
Digital Photography II: Promoting your photographs online
Basic photography and computer knowledge required. Bring your own camera.
Photography has become an everyday practice and never in History so many pictures have been produced and shared over the Internet. In this workshop, consisting of five two-hour classes, students will be given the knowledge to go beyond the basics of camera operation and learn to prepare pictures to be safely shared and seen worldwide. A field trip to old Nicosia will be organized to practice the art of photography.
Suitable for people who want to deepen their knowledge.
Dates: 12 April to 26 April, 2013 (Tuesdays and Fridays)
Time: 18:00-20:00
Cost: €125 per student (minimum enrollment 5; maximum 12)
All courses will take place at the Museum premises and will be taught in English. Upon completion of each workshop, participants will be given a certificate of attendance.
Booking and €50 prepayment required upon reservation for all courses. Full payment to be settled on-site on the first day of each course.
Nicolas P. Tschopp is an artist and a freelance photographer. He holds a BA in Applied Arts, Vevey (Switzerland) and a MA from the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. He has 10 years of teaching experience in the field of traditional and digital photography and participated in exhibitions and collections in Cyprus and abroad. Major clients: Fairchild Publications (France), T. Hotz Architecture (Switzerland).
