Pino Pandolfini & Dimitra Siaterli
Two artists living and working harmoniously under the same roof is no mean feat but it seems that Greek-born Dimitra Siaterli and Italy’s Pino Pandolfini have achieved just that.
In their joint exhibition which opens on April 18 at Hambis School of Printmaking, the pair of visual artists looks back on their personal and professional journey since first meeting in 1972 on a student excursion to Venice.
The show features works created with pre-printed paper sheets Pandolfini picked up from a traditional shop in his hometown of Gambettola that prints linens with handmade wooden stamps. The two artists infused these sheets with images of love, rivalry, defeat and peace in a process that reflects the fact that every relationship is played out against a faint background of other people and places that were once a part of their lives.
The exhibition opens on the 18th of April at 12:00
