Pitsimpourgko
The play of Soti Triantafyllou "Pitsimpourgko" is an exchange of letters between spouses, between 1913 and 1914: Elegko, living on the island of Chios, and her husband Dimostenis who was forced to emigrate to Pittsburgh, leaving his new wife on the island.
By following the correspondence of the two people we experience the characteristics of the society of Chios in those times, and the difficult working and living conditions of the immigrants in Pittsburgh at the beginning of the century.
