Playback Theater Performance
Playback theater performance in the framework of the AMC Project: Art for Multicultural Communities
This is a European Grundtvig Project for adult education which focuses on finding ways in which the arts (art, dance and especially music and playback theatre) can contribute to intercultural dialogue, collaboration and understanding. The goal is to build bridges of communication between different ethnic, cultural, religious and social groups of Europe
Participants in the project are groups of actors, social workers, musicians, artists, mediators and educators from Austria (Vienna), Hungary (Budapest), Estonia (Tallinn), UK (London) and Cyprus (Nicosia). European University Cyprus is the partner from Cyprus and Dr. Yiannis Miralis is the coordinator.
As part of the project, there will be a playback theater performance (a form of improvisational theater which has its roots in the Moreno Psychodrama and Theater of Spontaneity) on Sunday 13th November at 7pm, at the Multipurpose Municipal Centre in Nicosia.
Another introductory performance will be given on Monday 14th November at 10:30am, at Amphitheatre A of the European University of Cyprus.
