Post-Bach Fuga

The Pantheon Cultural Association would like to invite you to a night full of bizarre sounds and intense interactive gestures is promised by the young electroacoustic composers, sound and visual artists and musicians Pandelis Diamantides, Dj Tony Cusack, Antonis Antoniou, Constantinos Evangelides and Giorgos Ioannou, at Tritos (Pantheon Cultural Association).

The event will have an experimental direction and character, focusing on the “post-Bach” musical era where the tonal musical system and conventional instrumentation, which offers limited colour-tone and possibilities is gradually overtaken by the whole spectrum of sound, rhythm, relationship, and form made possible by today’s media. The audience is in turn expected to leave their personal musical habits/preferences outside the space, and tune in to a different listening level so as to experience the new and unexpected sounds and correlations created live by the artists. Music is above all sound, and this, indeed, is the team’s field of fascination and exploration.

The event will include 2 “Live Electronics” sets (one by Diamantides solo and the second by the BangBang trio, which consists of Antoniou and Evangelides), Dj live manipulation (Tony Cusack, Anoniou, Diamantides), radio-band installation and live visual processing by Antoniou, and video-art projection by Ioannou. The event will close with Dj Tony Cusack’s vinyl Dj set.
