During the last six years of my experience as a photographer I have been exploring man’s mental and physical participation to their immediate environment. This second personal exhibition is the result of a two year long project born out of my own personal experiences, emotions and inner personal struggles as well as a hint of imagination.

The medium of photography has allowed me to express my vision; one of a human being attempting to break free from the boundaries that are set and developed in our minds from the day we were born. I have taken something visible and rational to the eye and combined it with people’s emotional turbulences. Using my imagination, I add images and symbols to the visible physical world.

The images aim to show my own interpretation and process of intensive self assertion to achieve balance, spirituality, believing in one’s self and form our destiny, and pureness of the heart.

My close environment has given me the stimulus as well as the subject, and technology provided the means to combine the rational with the non rational significance of imagery. In this way I manage to depict, in a way, the transition of realism to surrealism.

My hope through this exhibition is that the viewers participate willingly to formulate their own interpretations based on their own beliefs and experiences.
