Prix Jeunesse Screenings
The best of children’s television, honoured by the internationally-recognised Prix Jeunesse International competition, will feature in a seminar for children’s film experts and screenings for children and their parents organised by the Goethe-Institut Cyprus, in partnership with the Cyprus Community Media Centre and the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research.
The two-day event will take place on December 7th and 8th at the Goethe-Institut Cyprus hall in Nicosia’s buffer zone starting from 16:00pm, coordinated by Prix Jeunesse representative Kirsten Schneid from Munich/Germany. The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) is media sponsor of the event.
Seminar and screenings on Friday, 7th December 2012 at 4 pm. The films screened in Nicosia will be the winners of the 2012 Prix Jeunesse International film festival held last June in Munich under the theme “Watch, learn & grow with children’s TV” and will be subdivided into different age categories: 12-15 year olds, 7-11 year olds and up to six years old.
Special Screenings for secondary school children aged 12-15 are planned on Friday, 7th November between 9am-1pm.
There will also be screenings for children and parents on Saturday, 8th December 2012 starting from 4pm (for age group 7-11 years) and from 6pm (for age group 12-15 years).
Admission free, all films have English subtitles.
