Step and Rhythm Show from the Czech Republic
Show project WINGS was created from the dreams of four very different tapping characters. Surrounded by a group of ingenious musicians and friends they revived the interest in tapping shows in the beautiful heart of Europe, Prague. The show is highly acclaimed by everyone – critics, audience as well as their tapping rivals.
WINGS performances are oriented towards a dynamic, progressive and open-minded audience, young as well as “young at heart” those, who find the rhythmical blend of physical, tap dancing theater combined with the fresh alternative musical feelings, attractive and thrilling. Three Czechs and one English girl synthesize a musical octopus in a revolution renovation of sings and wonders.
The hypnotic combination of Tap Dance, Body Beat and Live Music originated in Prague. Simply the old balance of tap dancing was overturned to create an alternative new variety with very attractive gripping music and movement immobilizing audience attention from the start. The show contains rhythmics, clowning and unpredictables.
The performance is part of the Aglantzia Festival 2009.
