Psychologia Syrianou Syzygou
Fresh Target Theatre Ensemble presents the play "Psychologιa Syrianou Syzygou" (Ψυχολογία Συριανού Συζύγου) written in 1894 by the Greek writer and journalist Emmanuel Rhoides.
Rhoides often adopted a clear-cut critical stance against the romanticism in literature and poetry and often was poignant and sarcastic to the romance writers and poets of his time.
In this novel Rhoides describes the agonizing attempts of an avowed bachelor to "fall out of love" using marriage as a medicine, which he believes is the "tomb of love."
