Communications Workshop for Artists and Cultural Organizations
On 5/6 February and 28/29 May, 2011, at the premises of Dance House Lemesos, .pelma.lia haraki proudly presents the first Communications Workshop addressed to Artists, of all disciplines, and to members of Cultural Organizations. Put Yourself On The Map aims to provide the participants with knowledge and tools that will improve the efficiency with which they promote their work. Subjects covered will include, among others, the role of Marketing and Public Relations in the Cultural Sector, understanding communication methods (flyers, websites, videos etc) and using them effectively, the importance of partnerships and networking, as well as, audiovisual production. The workshop will take the form of an interactive seminar and will provide hands-on exercises, dealing with the reality of situations that the participants face in their chosen field of work.
Put Yourself On The Map will be conducted by Phaedon Zacharoudes, Marketing and Public Relations Manager for the dance and performance company .pelma.lia haraki. The 33 year old Cypriot works as Cultural Manager and in parallel as an Artist. He has extensive professional training and experience in organizational, as well as in creative positions, in the Art and Culture industry, having worked in Italy, Germany and Cyprus.
No background in Marketing, Public Relations or Media Making is necessary for participation. Reservations are mandatory.
