Pygmalion Effect
This bi-communal project includes art therapy workshops by the artist and art therapist Asli Bolayir. The workshops are intended for people of all ages, who will have the opportunity to express in aesthetic terms and finally understand and overcome traumatic experiences and losses caused by the war and the displacement of the past 42 years. The aim of the workshop is to explore the personal past and the collective memory through photography. The participants will have the opportunity to explore, through different artistic forms, the nature of love as well as traumatic memories and suffering that marked the town and the villages of Pafos, but also to search for hope and optimism that only a liberalised, living memory can produce. The group will consist of children of 10-12 years old and adults born before and after 1974.
Free entrance – The workshops are open to the public.
