I'd Rather Walk than Drink and Drive
The Dancing Queen Foundation is organizing for the seventh consecutive year its annual charity walk titled - 'I’d Rather Walk than Drink and Drive' on Sunday the 8th of November, 8:30am. The walk will once again take place along the pedestrian walkway of the Limassol coastline. Starting point: Opposite Dolce Club, Finish line: Molos. The walk focuses on raising awareness regarding drunk driving and aims to make a difference by reducing the number of accidents caused by people who drive under the influence of alcohol.
Everyone who wishes to take part must register their participation by contacting us so that an allocated sponsorship form can be sent to them (the deadline for participation is October 31st 2014). You can register online by visiting our website at dancingqueenfoundation.com - upon registration we will be sending you a form and his form will in turn be used by the participant to collect money from people willing to sponsor their participation in the walk. Forms and all money collected are to be brought on the day of the walk and handed over to members of the foundation prior to the walk. Email: [email protected] tel: 25818140.
T-shirts will also be given to those who register with us so please inform us of your t-shirt size in your email to ensure you receive your t-shirt on the day. In order to start the walk on time participants are strongly advised to be at our meeting point at 8:00 to give enough time to hand in your form and funds, receive your t-shirt and prepare for the walk.
Certificates of achievement will also be given out to everyone at the finishing line.
On behalf of the foundation, we would like to thank you all for you support and hope to see as many of you as possible there.
Our walk is fully supported by the Police Traffic Control, Limassol, Agios Athanasios and Germasogia Municipalities, Agios Tychonas and Mouttagiaka Community Councils.
