The Romanian "IE" Festival
The Festival of the Romanian “ie” organized by the Romanian Society in Cyprus at the Casteliotissa Hall, on the 28th May 2016 at 18.30 will offer you the opportunity to see and discover more about this fascinating piece of Romanian culture.
Two experts from the Bucovina Museum in Romania: Violeta Enea – Head of the Ethnographic Department and Magda Gradinariu – Founding member of the iaBucovina NGO will give a keynote speech on: The Symbolism of the Embroidery motifs on the Romanian “ie”
There will also be music and dances and a tasting session of traditional Romanian sweets. Entrance is FREE.
