Rottweiler
Versus Theatre presents the play "Rottweiler" by Guillermo Heras.
Summary of the play
An upcoming journalist, in order to create a name for himself and his show, interviews a provocative neo-Nazi skinhead named Rottweiler. This interview takes place in an underground area of Madrid at Rottweiler’s basement thus increasing the sense of danger to the audience. The arrivism as well as yellow press approach of television will collide with the extreme right political views of the skinheads, creating an edgy and dangerous situation. The produces of the show will furthermore provoke by airing shocking plans thus gaining viewers and numbers. This socio-political play comments on the existing TV system of passive TV viewers as well as the social pathologies of racism and nationalism.
