Saladin Days Nicosia, where writers, intellectuals, artists and activists gather to discuss history, literature, identity and contemporary politics….

Featuring, Tariq Ali, Thorvald Steen, Andreas Delsett, Umut Bozkurt, Nicos Philippou, Yael Navaro and Stavros Karayianni, Nicoletta Demetriou and Mertkan Hamit.

Since 2009, Litteraturhuset / House of Literature in Oslo has been initiating International Saladin Days annually . Every year, authors, artists, activists, academics and intellectuals go to Oslo to discuss the possibility of coexistence and tolerance, instead of conflict and prejudice, in the meeting between people and countries from the so called Islamic, Christian and Jewish cultures.
And now for the first time ever, Saladin Days leaves Norway and makes it way to Nicosia, Cyprus!

The Association for Historical Dialogue & Research (AHDR) now open the doors of the Home for Cooperation for 3 days of conversation, lectures and discussions. Plus a theater performance of Dessert Storms, a film screening and a music concert.

The 'International Saladin Days' were an initiative of Norwegian author Thorvald Steen and British-Pakistani historian and author Tariq Ali. Both of them will honour us with their presence at the 'Home for Cooperation'.
