Sandy Brour

Sandy Brour were formed a few months ago with great love and effort.

Haritini had just completed the recording of her solo album ‘Maitresa mou’ when she met Memnon and they began talking about guitars, gypsy jazz… when they first met up to jam their guitars and their souls clicked instantly!

Efthymia had already sung on Xaritini’s album (the song ‘Maitresa mou’) and she and Xaritii had also been members of the same band in the past. Efthymia, Xaritini and Memnon began playing together and ended up naming their band ‘Sandy Brour’, an anagram of Brandy Sour, a traditional Cypriot cocktail and the Alphas family’s favourite drink!

The trio worked on Greek and foreign covers but also on Xaritini’s original compositions. With Memnon’s characteristic guitar solos, Efthymia’s deep voice, jazz, bossa nova, swing and blues rhythms the band began performing and its audiences loved and supported them warmly!

One evening, they met Kostas Lolos and his violin! The three became four…and then Simis with his clarinet…

And the beat goes on…!
