‘Sarcasmo Honesto’ acts as an expressive outcry in this beautiful world which is driven by humans to ugliness, day by day. There is a limit in everything that happens and tolerance leads to complicity.

The following poem called ‘Sarcasmo Honesto’ is comprised of 19 sentences each one representing the title of each painting and expresses sarcastically yet in complete honesty, the cannibalism of the so-called ‘civilised’ human. Through the symbolism and allegory of the figures, this work is concerned with themes like war, cultural confusion, despair and poverty, the gap between words and action, the wretchedness of authority and the ‘democratic’ facade, irony and insensitivity, human conceit, sciolism and spiritual obscurantism, corruption and atrocity, fear and guilty tolerance, religion of violence, the spoiling of nature etc.

In a world where life is being humiliated and our souls are being forayed, let’s rise up to reach... humans! It is the only thing we have…

for absolute convulsion to acquire meaning
and to bring to life the desperate
merciless jeer
and honest sarcasm
- what an irony, I have adored your eyes
lies, lies
and insensitivity
like the light that will never exist
- I want to burn the rubbish out of you
to stop the thirst for corruption
to deceive the animal you brought to life
through a thousand words of silence
insatiable murderer of the sun
time blows your ashes away
to finish with the completion
spending away the nothingness that belongs to you
- I heard you will return? Ha ha ha
