Saxophone Quartet
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra celebrates the World Environmental Day with two concerts and a unique Saxophone Quartet. Under the baton of Cypriot conductor Yiorgos Kountouris, and the collaboration of saxophonists Marco Albonetti (soprano saxophone), Charis Ioannou (alto saxophone), Theofilos Sotiriades (tenor saxophone) and Yannis Miralis (baritone saxophone), the concerts will take place on 6 and 7 June at the Markideion Theatre Paphos and the Strovolos Municipal Theatre, Nicosia, respectively.
We will hear the works A. Kameris: Symphonic Thinking, P. Glass: Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Orchestra and L. v. Beethoven: Symphony no. 6 in F major, op. 68 ("Pastoral").
