Sergey and Isadora - performance extravaganza (The hymn of love)
On the 11th of February 2015, at the Rialto Theater in Limassol, one of the most renowned Russian theater directors Roman Viktyuk and the “Roman Viktyuk Theater” present the performance “Sergey and Isadora”. The play is based on the poems and biographical material of Sergey Esenin and the book by Isadora Duncan "My life".
The play tells the love story of two great persons: the Russian poet Sergey Esenin and the American dancer Isadora Duncan - from the moment when they first met and until their last meeting. The play is about passion, anguish and maddening feelings.
The gorgeous music of Schnittke is intertwined in the play with the live performance of Gelikon Opera’s soloist Vyacheslav Starodubzev, who performs romances based on Esenin’s poems.
In the role of Sergey Esenin is the leading actor of the "Roman Viktyuk Theater" Igor Nevedrov and in the role of Isadora Duncan the Honoured Artist of Russia Anna Terekhova.
