Sharing an Island
The Photography and Cinematography club of Ayioi Omoloyites Cultural Workshop presents the documentary film “Sharing an island” on Monday, 4 July 2011, at 21:00. The screening will take place at Archontiko Ierodiakonou. The director and producer of the film, Danae Stylianou, will attend the screening in order to speak to the audience about the film. After the end the film, a discussion will follow.
Cost: Free for members (€10 annual subscription fee)
Six young Cypriots, three Greek Cypriots and three Turkish Cypriots, who have never met each other before will share a house for five days. Together they will travel across divided Cyprus. They will argue from different perspectives of history, they will share stories of the past and together they will envision the future. Is peace a long way ahead?
