Sharing an Island
We would like to inform you that the documentary film ‘Sharing an Island’ will be screened once again at the Pallas Theatre in Nicosia, on Monday, the 3rd October 2011 at 20.30 p.m. The tickets pre-sale will start on the 28th September from Pallas theatre, which will be open daily and on weekends from 16.00 p.m. until 19.00 p.m.
The film has been produced through the Engage- Do your Part for Peace programme and through the ‘Youth Activism Project’ implemented by the Cyprus Network for Youth Development. The film is also supported by the Limassol Municipality, the Cyprus Youth Board and the Limassol Savings Cooperative Bank. Τhe screening is sponsored by the Municipality of Nicosia and the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Six young Cypriots, three Greek Cypriots and three Turkish Cypriots, who have never met each other before will share a house for five days. Together they will travel across divided Cyprus. They will argue from different perspectives of history, they will share stories of the past and together they will envision the future. Is peace a long way ahead?
