Short & Sweet III
Animated films from Germany at the ARTos Foundation.
The Goethe-Institut Cyprus in collaboration with the ARTos Foundation are organizing the animation screenings "Short & Sweet III", which will take place from Monday 2nd until Thursday 5th of April at 8:30pm at the ARTos Foundation.
Of all the short film genres, animated short films are particularly hard to make. The production process can take months or even years and demands extraordinary dedication and artistic craftsmanship. In return, though, the genre offers enormous creative potential.
The selection "Short & Sweet III" showcases a variety of German animation films from the last eight years and presents a cross-section of different visual techniques, including hand-drawn animation,
puppet animation, sand animation and 3-D computer animation. These short films are masterful expressions of their directors’ personal vision, and have screened at international festivals and won
numerous prizes around the world.
"Short & Sweet III" provides you with recipes for a happy ending in matters concerning love in the "Him and Her" programme, promises encounters with surprising universes through the "Worldly and
Otherworldly" programme, shows heart-warming and highly peculiar neighbourly incidents in the "Here and There" programme and "Dreams and Demons" promise spine-chilling scenes.
