Indian classical music has its origins as a meditation tool for attaining self realization. Reshma Srivastava Pizanis was born into a family of musicians in Allahabad in Northern India. She was six years old when she began her life-long musical journey with the Sitar. She gave her first public performance at the age of 8. Today she is considered an "A" grade artist. She has earned a Master's degree in music and a number of prestigious awards and enjoyed the honor of highlighting many concert performances all over India, and many other countries.
