Skylines

"Skylines" is the title for a collection of recent paintings by well known Joep Klinkenbijl.

Abstracted buildings and their reflections in water form the core subject of Joep’s work in this exhibition. Using bold colours and dynamic, broad brushstrokes, he gives the paintings a freshness and simplicity that leaves the viewer enough room to use his imagination for interpretation.

Joep Klinkenbijl started to paint 14 years ago and is entirely self-taught. With his inexorable desire to create his images, he has developed a unique style which is instantly recognizable as the artist’s. The simplicity of the abstract designs characterizes Joep’s paintings which he has exhibited in many locations in his native Holland and are now renowned in the Dutch art scene.

The artist is now living in Chlorakas and is also known as one of the DJs on Rock FM radio. In Cyprus he has sold his work to the Dutch Embassy, the International school, the Town Hall of Paphos and many private collectors. He also designed wine-labels for “the Art Collection” collaborating with the Tsangarides Winery in Lemona.

The exhibition Skylines will start on Sunday the 11th of April at 2PM with an informal opening during which you can meet the artist, join us for a glass and enjoy the atmosphere.
