Static Aesthetic
Chiaki Kamikawa Contemporary Art Gallery presents a group exhibition of photography “STATIC AESTHETIC.”
We experience time as a sequence of numerous moments. Photography captures a moment of time and transforms it into a static image, something that we physically cannot perceive in real life.
Static images can tell us something new from a different point of view as it is not a conventional observation of our eyes. It could be an unspoken story, alternative beauty or comment on our society.
This exhibition invites people to look at and experience the “static aesthetic” of photography within their sequence of time.
