Steve McCurry - Portraits
The Loukia & Michael Zampelas Art Museum presents the most iconic images of the legendary photographer Steve McCurry. 40 historic and more recent photographs will be presented in two exhibitions during the summer season.

This unique exhibition of photographs by Steve McCurry, all coming from his studio in New York, consists of photographs taken in several different countries such as Nigeria, Thailand, Indonesia, India and many others, reflecting McCurry’s love to travel around the world in search of that special moment; and it is this moment, he chooses to capture on camera, thus immortalise its existence.
A few words about Steve McCurry
Steve McCurry (b.1950) has been one of the most iconic voices in contemporary photography for more than thirty years with countless exhibitions around the world, magazine and book covers of his work. He initially studied film but soon began working for a local newspaper. He embarked on a freelance career that led him to his first trip to India. Since then he travelled over six continents and countless countries, exploring the world his camera always with a bag of film in his hands.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the CTO chairman Angelos Loizou on 18 June 2014, 8 p.m.
