Fringe Me Up! Stockholm Fringe Meets Buffer Fringe
Home for Cooperation’s Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival is getting ready for its fourth edition. This year, the ever evolving festival is getting bigger, offering various opportunities for artists and audience alike.
In its fourth year, Buffer Fringe has several events programmed in the period building up to the festival, in order to facilitate connections with local and international artists and established fringe festival organizers. As the first of these events, Buffer Fringe is meeting with Stockholm Fringe with Fringe me Up!
Supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Cyprus, Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival has the pleasure of hosting Stockholm Fringe Festival co-organizer and co-founder Adam Potrykus, sharing his experience in founding a fringe festival, the benefits for the artists and the city alike and most importantly about what fringe means exactly:
“What would you expect to see at a Fringe festival? Something less ordinary that challenges my perception of life and society. Usually a pinch of twisted + a slither of humor mixed with a fat dose of punk attitude delivers amazing. The world is your stage. Where would you want to perform?” – Adam Potrykus.
During the night, Buffer Fringe 2017 artistic Director Charalambia Theophanous will also be giving insights as to the planning and opportunities for artists in Buffer Fringe 2017 that will take place in Nicosia, in November.
Her Excellency the Ambassador of Sweden in Nicosia Anna Olsson Vrang will open the event.
The event will be held in English and participation is free of charge.
