A Streetcar Named Desire
Theatro Lexi presents the classic theatrical play "A Streetcar Named Desire" directed by Aliki Danezi-Κnutsen.
A Streetcar Named Desire is a 1947 play written by American playwright Tennessee Williams for which he received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1947.
In a New Orleans slum, Blanche moves in with her sister, in an attempt of reconciliation. Stanley Kowalski, her brother-in-law, will torment her past and crumble every single hope to rebuild her future. Through the conflict between Blanche and Stanley, Tennessee Williams clearly demonstrates that in today’s world, those who manage to survive are Stanleys, not Blanches.
Cast: Christiana Pavlidou and Nikos Poursanides.
