Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra on tour, Cyprus 2011

We are delighted to announce the Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra 2011 tour that will take place in Cyprus between 29th of July and 4th of August.

The Stuttgart Youth Orchestra consist of approximately 70 Instrumentalist from the greater region of Stuttgart, mainly from the Stuttgart Music School. Every year, a fragment of the Youth Orchestra (Youth Chamber Orchestra) goes on tour, works with local music schools and orchestras, and performs several concerts. Previous tours included Brazil, Australia, South Africa and the USA.

Their Cyprus tour 2011 is organised in collaboration with the Cyprus National Music Schools and the whole project is under the supervision of Mrs Andri Hadjigeogiou, Inspector of the Music Highschools of the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture. The coordination of the project is undertaken by the Due Capi, Artistic Management Company, first of its kind in Cyprus (www.duecapi.com).

As an addition, the famous Cypriot composer Mr. Evagoras Karageorgis, composed the piece entitled Polyosti especially for this orchestra that has been premiered in Germany by the Stuttgart Youth Orchestra.
