Synergy by Ioannis Macheriotis
Painting exhibition by Ioannis Macheriotis “Synergy”.
The exhibition will be opened by Mr. Constantinos Yiorkadjis, Mayor of Nicosia on Monday, 2 December 2013 at 8.00 p.m.
Synergy
Everyday objects and tools, seen through a different perspective, which in cooperation with human activity create work and wealth, contrary to various pieces of paper whose senseless issue and distribution create financial crises like the one we currently experience globally.
Ioannis Macheriotis was born in Nicosia and studied in London where he resided for a number of years. In 1975 he moved to Athens where he took drawing lessons, studied practical philosophy and returned to Cyprus in 1993. His love for art and the great masters was limited to study and collection of works of art from a young age but soon submitted to the lust of creative art. In Cyprus he was apprenticed to a number of well known artists like Rea Afantiti, Nikolas Panayi and Konstantinos Kyrtis, where he developed his passion for painting. Ioannis took part in fourteen group exhibitions and this is his third private exhibition. Paintings of the artist are in private collections in Cyprus and abroad. The exhibition consists of paintings as well as graphite drawings.
