Takoushis - Karapatakis Quintet

Following their debut album "Sympnoia" the two musicians Marios Takoushis and Gabriel Karapatakis with the new project "Seven Miles East" wish to deepen their lyricism and unfold their expression into new areas of interaction. Τhey aim to develop their music based on the fundamentals of jazz improvisation and individual self-expression. At the same time, their source of inspiration for original ideas and compositions comes from the Mediterranean culture and tradition and from the use of traditional ethnic instruments. New dynamics are created by the co-existence of the piano with the fretless bass, the sax and the violin with the drums.
